I'm Meaghan Shelton, a transdisciplinary visual artist, curator, writer and educator based in Ballarat, on Wadawurrung Country. My practice spans painting, textiles, sculpture, installation, crocheted and woven wire forms, and photography, moving across mediums in response to place.

At its centre, my work explores craft traditions, embodied knowledge, domestic space, settler inheritance, and the more-than-human world. I am interested in the histories held within materials, and in what is passed down to us from hand to hand, through habit, ritual, and the objects and spaces we inherit.

I am currently completing a creative practice-led PhD in Visual Arts at Queensland University of Technology, which continues to inform the questions I bring to my studio practice.
